Who you are, what you do, hobbies, work, school?
I am Marta, a math and computer nerd from Barcelona. I love programming, solving math problems and learning about new math theories. Besides, I am addicted to being on a board. I need to skate, surf, kitesurf, snowboard or anything similar to it.
I discovered surfing first, and from there I asked my parents for a cruiser. It did not take me long until I realized I wanted to learn to skate, to fly high and go fast in a bowl.
As a teenager it was easy to find free time to skate and surf, but now that I am working as a Software Developer of one of the satellites of the European Space Agency, it is harder. But you know what they say, if there is a will there is a way! And that is my life now, trying to grow my professional career keeping as much free time as possible to go skating and surfing. It is not easy, but there is always a way! At the moment I use my lunch time everyday to go skating, and the weekends to go surfing.
I believe in keeping a balance between both worlds!
