We haven’t spoken with David for a while, and with the BMX Cologne Contest this weekend it is a good reason to catch up! About his injury, how he looks at the contest and his competition, is he ready to start?

When did you start with BMX? In 2004

What is the best thing about BMX? That Bmx isn’t a hobby or a sport it’s just a lifestyle

Who is your favorite BMX rider and why? Kyle Baldock is my favorite because this guy is a machine and dominate most of all BMX tricks

So time to get serious…

You had a bad injury a few weeks ago, how are you doing now? My injury healed up really quick and I’m feeling ready for the BMX Cologne.

The BMX Cologne Weekend is coming up, how many times have you participated in the last years? That is my eighth year were I participate there

In what discipline will you join? This year I will only join in Dirt

What is your best and/or favorite discipline and why? Normally I ride only Park but In the last time I prefer Dirt and love to ride it.

How do you see your competition? I think it will be a big comp with good rider from all over the world so I first want to get through the qualification into the finals and then we will see.

Are you nervous for the contest? No, I don’t want to say nervous but it is a highlight of the year that there is a big comp like this in my hometown.

Who is the best rider of the competition you think and why? In Advance I can’t say who is the best rider out of the competition but I think all the guys from Australia will kill it!

What makes The BMX Cologne Weekend so asewome? BMX Cologne is one of the biggest BMX competition in the year and if you live in Cologne you must come and check what going on in the bmx scene and get your impressions about it. You see rider from all over the world and some nice riding action from everyone. I promise you if you come the BMX CGN you won’t be disappointed.

What is your best memory ever of The BMX Cologne Weekend? I got no best memory of the BMX Cologne because every year is absolutely rad weekend and I have only good memories of this comp

What are your plans for this year? This year I finished my school and from now on I only want to ride my bike and travel all over the world till next year march. So we will see how it goes.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I see myself in 5 years as one of the best pro BMX-er in Germany hope that I will stay together with my girl and to think about a small family. At this point a big thanks to my beautiful girl – Samantha Hecker – for all your support!

Do you have a slogan or words to live by? Go big or go home – that’s my slogan!!!

What do you think of British Knights footwear? (Trick question 😉 ) British Knights it is not only a sponsor for me it is like a big family all the people from BK are a big family and it is good to know that I’m a part of it since 2008.
